On June 23, 1940, in Edinburgh, Scotland, Stuart Sutcliffe was born. At 19 years old Stu was regarded as one of the most talented students at the Liverpool Art College, where he met John Lennon. All of the girls liked Stu because of his romantic scowl, sunglasses, and likeness to James Dean. Stu even lived like an artist. He lived in a small, paint splattered house near the school. John lived there with Stu for a while. They became great friends.
